Dr. Dan has written to HASTEN and described the situation in Haiti…life has slowed down with no potable water, no gas (or at the cost of $25/gallon) for vehicles, no electricity, no food production. Haiti has been plagued with storms, earthquakes, violence and political unrest. Access to essentials (such as gas and food) is through those who can obtain it through the Dominican Republic and Port au Prince, so the cost is extraordinary. We can help them by increasing our funding and praying diligently and regularly for their needs to be met and their work in supporting others to continue. To that end, the clinic is open as much as possible and people manage to get there. Dr. Dan would like to operate his mobile clinic, and for that to happen he needs funding for gas.
