Life with our mission in the Dominican Republic is doing well in spite of a difficult year. Attendance in our congregation dropped early in 2023 because of the economic conditions. As companies closed, the jobs of the brothers and sisters in our congregation changed so that they often began work as housekeepers on Sundays. Others have moved away. Despite personal problems within our congregation, attendance has improved among adults, children, and adolescents.

My wife Doris had spine surgery in March, followed by a serious infection at the operative site. She was hospitalized twice and thanks to the Lord and to the many prayers, she has recovered. Thank you for your support and patience. Our family’s health problems and those of  Doris’s brothers and sisters, have been difficult, but Christ has strengthened me. His pictures below help to tell the story.

Greetings to all the brothers and sisters of Sunbury and all the sister churches of HASTEN.
