Our US news feeds tell of the tragic and horrific violence within the country of Haiti. What is hard to understand is the overwhelming impact that lawlessness has on the day-to-day lives of ordinary people. For our Dr. Dan, his family life, the operation of the medical clinic, and his ministry are so greatly impacted. The difficulties in getting food, fuel, power, and medical supplies all require so much more effort. Needless to say, the costs have skyrocketed. Furthermore, the violence has spread. Dr. Dan reports the following:
“Here in Gonaives nothing is certain because each day at 16 miles from our city several people have died or been kidnapped. I don’t know when, but I know that God will do something. The situation is really complicated and impossible for us, but with God all things are possible.”
