The women at the mission clinic in Zimbabwe continue to encourage the new mothers by making them blankets and baby items. I learned recently that they have used up most of the supplies that were delivered to them in April, just ahead of the shutdown in Africa. Sometimes when I get pictures, I notice that a new mother might not be smiling. When I think back about being a new mother, I remember the fears that come along with the joy. Furthermore, there are cultural differences between here and there. Smiling is something we expect in pictures. I was still glad to get this most recent picture with baby, new blanket, and smiles. I hope it warms your heart as well to know that God’s love continues through all of life’s circumstances. (I’m trying to load this picture and not sure where it will end up.)
