On November 12, HASTEN Board members met by Zoom to pray specifically for the deepening crisis in Haiti. News reports in The Miami Herald indicated that gang violence is disrupting supply chains. We know from our communications with Dr. Daniel Adolphe that “essence” (gasoline) has been in short supply. Reports indicate that banks have shortened their hours to reduce the risk of kidnapping. The 17 missionaries who were kidnapped for ransom (16 from the US and one from Canada) have still not been freed. Your prayers for the people of Haiti in this crisis are needed. Please pray as you come and go and as your realize how blessed we are in our day-to-day lives.
